I used to binge watch the Friday The 13 series, I stopped watching them after the 4th one because the plots just got fucking absurd.

But even now though, I cant watch the originals because they now look old and campy like Godzilla movies.

That is the thing about movies, when they are crisp and new and just out, the special effects can fool the eye, but after a few decades you look back and laugh.

That series out of all the slasher movies back then, scared the shit out of me the most.

Scary - The Shining, Poltergeist, Carrie, Silence of the Lambs
Family - The Adams Family, Coraline, Beatlejuice, Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone

I never much cared for Hocus Pocus, though I know many people love it.

I didn't like "The Shining", too long too slow.

BeatleJuice was fun.

Silence Of The Lambs, great stuff.

Poltergeist made me shit my pants.

Art is subjective for sure. To me, Kubricks The Shining is possibly the best horror ever put to film.
