Yes, they had a hard time during the occupation, but it seemed they just loved to milk that for all it was worth.
Two Bajorans I had time for were Ro Laren and the guy who was a legendary war hero but did nothing more than "shoot a naked man".
I can't think of a single Bajoran character that I liked (but part of that is that I've forgotten most of it
)... but I guess, though she was a nasty character, it wouldn't have been the same without Louise Fletcher as Kai Winn (Wynn?)... she was perfect for that in a cringeworthy sort of way. And her rivalry with Sisko as Emissary was probably the most interesting part of the Bajoran storyline for me.
