Many of you guys, for being so quick to bring up the B.O.P. for others, work really hard to get out of it yourselves.  It appears that there are a bunch of pseudo-skeptics!

Then you do a one eighty???

To what are you referring to (that you think I did a 180)?

On one hand you have those who are not making a claim, except perhaps about their own metal state (lacking belief).  This isn't making any statement about objective reality outside of themselves, and has no burden of proof.

On the other hand, you have anyone who making a claim, they have a burden of proof for that claim (at least if you expect to persuade others).

The burden of proof is not inherent to any group, nor is any group by nature exempt from the burden of proof.  It has to do with the immediate context and discussion and whoever is not making a claim.

I don't understand why this is so difficult.   As I said before;  it seems that those who are so quick to cite and misuse the BOP, then are quick to turn around, and try to justify why they don't need justification for their own claims.

I'm curious what you are disagreeing with?
It is said that an argument is what convinces reasonable men and a proof is what it takes to convince even an unreasonable man.  - Alexander Vilenkin
