I remember Nora.  I didn't think she was that whacky.

Mmmm.  Steak tonight.

Yeah. I didn't think she was either. I may have said a LITTLE more. But nothing shocking. I basically talked about how I actually agree that veganism is morally superior but I don't think it's a big enough of a deal for me to change my diet. And I'd rather focus on something else I consider more morally important like I'd rather give money to charities involving starving children. I also said that while good in theory I think that in practice veganism doesn't do much because eating an animal that has been killed isn't the same as killing it yourself. And I said that trying to stop people killing animals by not eating them is about as unrealistic as expecting everyone to stop polluting the planet by yourself choosing to not buy a car.

But still, nothing that should give her reason to react with "WTF you care about your own stomach more than baby animals!" and block me forever after we'd talked as friends for years.
