The actor Sherman Helmsley who played George Jefferson on the popular 70 sitcom has died. Just saw it on CNN.

Actually what I loved about that show most was his maid Florance, she didn't take shit from anyone. But George's character as much as he blustered and acted like a tightwad, the character was a softy.
