A girl came into my work at the end of my work shift, and she started using sign language. I used to be quite fluent, but I have not used it in so long that I am rather rusty. She introduced herself. Apparently, I attended college with her. She remembered me, but to this moment I still have no clue who she is. She graduated and became an interpreter for the deaf. She told me that she had thought I was quite skilled, and perhaps I should go the interpreter route. I did not feel like explaining to her that my being hard of hearing kind of hinders me in that respect, and that I only ever took sign language in case I ever needed it when I got older and if my hearing ever deteriorated. It's strange when someone surfaces from the past, especially someone of whom I have no recollection. How she remembered me, I don't know.
