I think it's the type of situation that you have to be in before you know what you'd do.
I've been watching breaking bad and I'd like to think I'd become some sort of a drug dealing, partying, gangster with no fear of being killed in my final days but isn't it way more likely that I'd actually take the less glamorous approach of just being treated medically until I die.
Pretty coincidental that this topic's on here and I've just really started watching breaking bad and it's up to the part where they're talking about treatment vs accepting death.
