It'll be a token gesture just like the last 'response'. $100 million dollars worth of cruise missiles to pulverise an empty airfield. The west should have hammered the bastard years ago when there was a reasonable chance of taking him out but with Russia and now Iran stirring the pot; forget it.

The problem with the west going into Syria was that it would only ever have been a quick in and out with a saturation bombing campaign. As soon as the troops left the country would have quickly devolved into Somalia on steroids.

The only thing worse was the actual plan B: Give the Gulf states the money &weapons to arm ISIS (especially after the main opposition groups started refusing the guns).
