I've assumed Russia has been 'meddling' in every american election since at least the 50's. I also assume the US has 'interfered' in just about every election in the world.
I remember Mitt calling Russia the #1 geopolitical foe in 2012, and then Barack saying "80's called and want their cold war back." And democrats all simultaneously jizzed into eachothers faces across the country because Obama was so smart and clever, and Mitt was a dummy.
Of course, it was not a secret Russians meddled in the 2012 elections as well. Obama was well aware of it. So what's changed?
The answer is that the people who tell you what to think have decided they want this to be your main focus now.
