What does that have to do with health care?
Socialized medicine is just one part of those social programs Europeans get to enjoy because they sit back and let the American taxpayers fund their protection.
American consumers pay full price either directly, or indirectly through private insurance, to fund the develop of new drugs. Then those drugs are sold at heavily discounted prices to countries with socialized medicine. That's just part of capitalism too...drug companies giving bulk prices. I'm okay with that. But what irks me is that people in those same countries with their beloved socialized medicine wouldn't even have access to those drugs if it weren't for the US system of private health insurance and yet they have the gall to criticize our system which basically subsidizes theirs.
