The only possible progress for religion is either it to all become more and more allegorical until absolutely nothing about reality is actually being said... or a loss of faith altogether.

We're very nearly at that point with christianity, a minority of retrograde imbeciles like drich aside.

No, unfortunately we have a long way to go.

Creationism is very common. Especially in America but it's spreading over to the UK as well. Although it's next to nonexistent there still, thankfully.

Futhermore even moderate Christians still believe in unscientific stuff like the fact that Jesus literally resurrected.

But yeah, Christianity is on the whole a lot more allegorical than it was. If only Islam were the same.

Christianity is still miles behind Judaism though.
