You're either blind, dishonest, or willfully ignorant.  In those Western countries where abortion is banned it is almost solely through religious influence.  In the case of Ireland that influence is the Catholic church.


You can be "pro-life" all you want.  As long as that stance isn't forced on others.  Judging by some of your other recent posts, you also come across as something of a white supremacist.  Is that correct?

If you really need an abortion it means you're sexually irresponsible and maybe shouldn't be having sex if you use baby-killing as a form of birth control.

The rcc is dead in Ireland amongst the young.  The only reason they cling on to their zombie existence here is that the state allows the church dictate what goes on in 96% of primary and c. 85% of secondary schools and run the teacher training colleges.  Hence you get an awful lot of conservatism and catholic rhetoric in Irish education (I estimated out of eight years primary education, between half hour a day of religious instruction and a month each to prepare for communion and confirmation two whole years is spent on catholoc religous instruction.  Even rligious teachers are pissed off at this) and a few kids snagged every year, and anawful lot of doctrinaire tachers (used to be a problem to 10 years ago when teachers made up 1/3 of TDs).

Somewhat true. In my own experience, the RCC owns the education system at all levels. But the facts on the ground are that all of us chose to say **** you and the horse you rode in on. Nobody took it seriously when I was in school. One simply played a role for the nuns, brothers and priests.

It was mushroom technology at it's finest. Feed them any old **** and keep them in the dark.

The term is "short sighted".

It is not an immature decision, on the contrary, it is a genuine decision based on the welfare of the self and the child.

This is the problem with the "No" crowd. They are all about protecting the unborn, but after the child is actually born, they lose all interest in it's welfare.

What's mature is not getting pregnant in the first place or choosing your partners better, perhaps getting married and settling down as well. Not sexual immaturity through irresponsible sex or being a slut etc. You have no idea what it means to be a mature adult, it means discipline, valuing life. Not getting rid of it at the first sign of hardship for convenience. Abortion is a selfish immoral thing to do, and abortionists like you dehumanize the human life inside the womb by refusing to call it a baby. I can already hear the autistic screeching replies I'm going to get, muh fetus, muh clump of cells, more immature immoral arguments to devalue the life in the womb.
