Oh, I assure you that I have much more than hate.
I am, however, utterly disgusted by people who say things to the effect of "Join my club, or this guy I know will torture you." That is utterly rude and inexcusable, regardless of the motive. If it was a demonstrably real person who was going to do the torturing, and the threat of harm was credible, then the "Join my club" person could be arrested, tried and convicted on the crime of uttering threats. Because a god is the purported torturer, and the threat is not credible to an unbeliever, nothing can be done legally.
It's still a dick move, though, and it makes me want to have as little to do with Christianity as possible.
According to God there is nothing worse than hating another. The this guy you refer to will never torture you, you are making your own sentence as you go through each day and the only way you can escape what you have already made is through acceptance of Christ and the grace of God unto forgiveness. It is what I was doing with my life before Christ came into my life and removed that sentence. This is why I witness here, I know Christians that I consider stronger than I am that will not come to such a sight because it scares them, scared or not I'm here because I care, I retaliate on occasion because of people who have the attitude you do toward Christians and will be unrelenting in their degrading comments. The greater part of my post are to help, even if it's crude.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
