An intelligent being isn't sitting there causing the tsunami, either. Comparing that to active torture is absurd. Tsunamis are an unfortunate result of mindless forces. Eternal torture for noncompliance is entirely unnecessary and avoidable.
(Quite funny how he likens his master to a mindless destructive force that you need to get as far away from as possible.)
