I have a routine.
When I wake up I feed the cat and make a coffee.
By the time the coffee's ready my cat's making her way outside for a pee.
Then I let my rainbow lorikeet out and she sits on my shoulder or rummages about my desk while I watch the news.
Then the cat comes back in and I feed the bird so she's happy to go back into her cage.
Whenever I have a toilet sit down the bird gets to come with me and run around on the floor or play in the dirty clothes box.
During the day when I'm at work she gets put in the outside cage where she can talk to the doves.
At night she gets another half hour with me while I check out the internet.
When my daughter's home she spends a fair bit of time with her on the couch when the tv's on.
