Between GC's views and mine lie an unbridgeable chasm of utter contempt that his religious views guarantee he will misinterpret and misunderstand. Some people are simply lost causes when it comes to basic decency or using their allegedly God-given brains. GC's slavish embrace of this monstrous faith ensures he is one of them.
*shrug*
I find it reassuring that he, or someone like him, would have a hard time getting away with this kind of harassment in my workplace. At the very least he'd end up with a written reprimand on his file and orders to cease and desist, and if it was persistent enough he could be fired with cause.
And I share your contempt for him. I would not trust him with any task whatsoever within my circle of influence, regardless of his credentials. When I was still a Crazy Cat Lady with a Dark Legion of felines, one of my favourite sayings was "I wouldn't trust you to change my cats' litter boxes." Alas, the Dark Legion is no more (all nine of them reached their respective Best-Before dates) and I can no longer use that line.
