Anger, sadness, grief, resignation, defeat... and this is coming from a person who lives in a reliably blue state where LGBT people have legal protections from discrimination and abortion access is guaranteed by our state constitution. I can't even imagine how much worse I would feel if I lived in a red state with loony Pence-wannabe governors and trigger laws, where LGBT people are still discriminated against or are closeted for fear of physical violence.
