You just have balls of steel. If I am asked to say blue is red (an actual control question), the meter pegs out. I know people who have had their tickets pulled because they didn't react enough when making the lie for the control question.
It's not hard, just don't care. No emotion comes through and you don't spike. I calmly described a planned murder and how I was going to thwart it while making the planners think I was on their side. None of it was true but the tester said I passed with flying colors.
