Rather then resorting to reason which Quran and Sunnah came to facilitate, they worship their scholars, despite the warnings of Quran.
The religion they follow in the outward world is known as Islam for centuries, and the brutality and slavery of the Muslim rulers is true part of history. The solution "if you dispute in a thing refer to God and the Messenger" starts with recognizing we worship the Taghut if we don't do that, and secondly, to realize the biggest dispute lies in two things in 4:59, who possesses authority in the religion and how to refer to Quran and Sunnah, which is an irony, but the verse self-protects itself in that, we must refer to Quran and Sunnah to justify both, and what the truth of both is and not by conjecture or ignorant desires.
"Islamic terrorism" did not become a thing until 2001's 9/11 attacks. Before the "war on terror" campaign, during the "happy times" when Muslim Arabs -like Doody Fayed- used to shag blonde British princesses. I shouldn't mention that following 9/11, everything was flipped upside down.
'The concept of Islamic terrorism' is a cheap fuel for the propaganda that gave the "war on terror" lie a soul. We know that there are bad Muslims -and the first are Iranian government and its Shiite allies in the Middle East-, but that is a mere fraction of the brutality witnessed in other parts of the world.
