Please stop calling me dishonest until you can actually demonstrate I am being dishonest. You are kind of right though with your last point, they are very different. Christian Theism is an internally consistent worldview; atheism is an internally inconsistent and often self refuting worldview.
Quote:Allow me to rephrase that. The definition of sin, as found in the Bible is unbelievable by atheist standards. There is no god to make the rules. Do you see where I am going with this? Besides, he was pointing out your hubris. You were just being a rude prick.
It was more confidence and assurance than hubris. Calling me names again I see, grow up child.
Quote:No, but believing you are better than anyone who isn't precisely the same as you is.
I never said I was better than you, I just know a lot more about philosophy than you do. If you think that makes me better then that’s your position not mine.
Quote: Thusfar, you have proven to be dishonest, unkind and bigoted. I have yet to see you apologize for abrasiveness and preaching. I have yet to see you even consider that someone has more of a grasp on their own beliefs than you do and I have yet to see you participate in a conversation without using devious methods, despite it being obvious to all around you that you are being misleading and manipulative. At least, you are trying for the latter. I'm surprised you can manipulate your keyboard, to be honest.
I have yet to see you demonstrate that any of this is even true, so I will just assume it is all false given your prior propensities towards error.
Quote:Haha, no it isn't. My life had a foundation long before I even considered god. The god of scripture is a fairy tale. By your logic, the foundation of my life is also my disbelief in Disney movie stories.
Given your tendency to invoke that which is irrational the fact that you do not like my logic is actually a good sign for my logic. Disney stories have no bearing on reality, the existence or non-existence of the God of scripture does. Why is that so hard to understand?
Quote:Stat, you know when you have lied or been deceitful. There is no reason for me to bring it out here.
No I don’t, or else I wouldn’t have asked. Please do show me or stop claiming I have been dishonest.
Quote:Whatever you say, Stat. Prove god is real and I will show you what you already know.
Red herring, we are not talking about whether God is real here, we are talking about you calling me a liar, something you have not been able to prove. So prove it or cease doing it.
Quote:I will blame you. You are making faulty comparisons based on what? Did I say that I am my own god?
Nope, but neither did Dahmer, he just said that nobody owned him and he could make up his own rules, something you have also said almost verbatim.
Quote: Do you actually know anything about my moral belief system at all?
Yep, it’s not based on scripture, you also said it was relativistic in nature and had something to do with the number 42. Not sure if Dahmer’s had anything to do with the number 42 but his was also not based on scripture and relativistic.
Quote: You're a Christian. You can be compared to some of the biggest monsters in history, yet you don't see me comparing you to child rapists and tortuous murderers, do you? Ease up on your bullshit, Stat. You sure know how to muddy a conversation with bullshit asides.
I don’t base my morals on the same thing those “monsters” based theirs on, you do base your morals on the same thing Dahmer did (your own authority) so the comparison still stands.
Quote:I still never said I didn't have a standard. You take things I don't say, use them as proof that I don't have something because I didn't say I had it then end with an insult.
I asked you what it was and you gave me a sarcastic number, so I assumed you either didn’t understand the question or you don’t have a standard prove me wrong by disclosing your standard.

No it’s not. Firstly, I never used the number of stories about gods to try and prove god exists. Secondly, the existence of a fairy has no bearing on man’s views of morality, existence, and purpose. The existence of a god certainly would. If fairies were discovered to exist tomorrow it would not affect my views on morality. If the God of the Bible appeared to you tomorrow I assure you that you’d do some revising of your worldview.
