I don't think I've ever talked to a theist about their beliefs in person. I would actually enjoy it, I think, as long as they made a genuine effort to be honest. I'm mostly surrounded by atheists in England, or at least people who don't care about religion.
I live surrounded by theists. So much so that I can only count around 5 atheists as close friends in real life. I usually love conversing with theists about god and religion, learning their POVs and telling them about mine. And, as Joods said, we have an unspoken rule to be respectful for the purpose of both friendship and discussion.

But unfortunately, not disrespecting my country is not a boundary they are ready to set, because they simply don't understand how I can compare that to boundaries about respecting religion. That was the point of my post. But yeah, I do try my best to not offend them. It's just not worth it, in the big scheme of things.

Oh, by the way........do you know that not all theists believe in religions?
And yes, I know that not all theists believe in religions. I have a friend like that. I was mainly talking about those that do, of course.
