where does the author get the idea that Jews found sex disgusting? I thought they loved sex

Apparently history and art tell two different tales .But this isn't surprising after all lots of cultures that were sexual or romantically repressed wrote similar themes .

I'm a bit confused about the respective genders of the people portrayed in said verse.
