Given that I personally have never seen a cable guy or any other utility worker have a set time limit for the work they do, it really isn't up to us to infer that there is a time limit. Besides, you are missing the bigger point. Time limits aside - they clearly could have sent someone back to your residence inside of 30 days to retrieve the valuable item. And clearly it's caused you some distress, otherwise you wouldn't be bitching about it here. So it has bothered you to a point past what is reasonable for the company to have left the item there.
But I digress, Brian. Sometimes I think you make reasonable points. Other times I think you just want to argue with people because you're in a mood and you just want to find something to complain about even when a logical point has been made that's not necessarily in your favor.
