What false narrative? If by truth, you take that as an opportunity to be all preachy, you're right, we aren't interested. But you already knew that based on the thousands of times you have been told we don't care to be preached to.
You have every right to believe in what you want and I will happily support that right any day if the week. What you don't have however, is the right to shove that belief down our throats. We just aren't interested in hearing it. Discussion is quite another thing.
