Thought I would poke my head in here since I don't see any other commenters of the female variety on this thread.
Iggy said it best - Trust your instincts! If something seems off, do not try to convince yourself out of it.
Easy for me to say here, though, since I'm an impassioned observer.
Girl, I know what it feels like when the endorphins start going. And logic goes out the window. Sometimes it ends well, sometimes badly.
And a man who says he's in no hurry to go to bed... you have no idea how many times I've heard that just before getting laid.
