This was the first one I have ever evacuated from. I suffer from anxiety and didn't get much sleep Monday night, so Tuesday morning I couldn't decide to go south or inland, kept driving around went back to my house a couple times, and finally made a decision to go inland, but by that time I was so scared of getting stuck on the highway I forgot.
Hopefully I'll get lucky and my windows wont break. Our entire development is surrounded by pine trees, I am two streets in and have no trees on my lot so even if the pine trees behind me fall they are not close enough to hit my house.
But I am going to plan better in the future.
All hail the government policy.
