What is the effect of political ads, particularly negative ones?

Marketing does work, even attack adds, otherwise the people who make them wouldn't use them.

We are going to see.   The republicunts don't seem to have any positive achievements so all they are running are negative ads. 

And McSally's fans are pushing her "fighter pilot" bullshit story.  I'm really not so sure what that particular skill has to do with congress?  Few fighter jets fly down the hallways.  Far more important is the ability to tell the WLB to go fuck himself and McSally does not seem to have that kind of courage.
