You know, it never ceases to amaze me how DNA tests conducted seemingly at random can out a historic rapist. Remember Random Task from the first Austin Powers movie?
In 2008, his actor Joe Son was arrested for vandalism, and, as part of his plea bargain, he has to provide a DNA test. And then this happened:
He was linked via his DNA to a gang-rape that happened on Christmas Eve 1990. And this would never have been solved if he didn't randomly get arrested and forced to provide DNA for another random crime.
