Quote:It's not all bad groucho. In fact it's also exciting and evolving. That’s debatable. An eruption is an impressive display of nature to behold, from a safe distance. Its terrifying life-threateningly horrible experience when you are in close proximity to it and directly in harms way.
Quote:Nope, wrong. I'm talking about love being the utmost purpose. Don't try and read too much into it.There’s not much to read. Here’s an extract Neil Gaiman’s horror/fantasy novella Coraline just to put things a little more into perspective with how I think you Christians bastardise the word "love" and then proceed to associate it with this monstrous first-born-killing deity:
Pg106 - "Coraline's Other Mother told her again "You know that I love you.""
"And, despite herself, Coraline nodded. It was true: the other mother loved her. But she loved Coraline as a miser loves money, or a dragon loves its gold. In the other mother's button eyes, Coraline knew that she was a possession, nothing more. A tolerated pet, whose behaviour was no longer amusing."
Quote:There are many gods, but only one true God. Not doubtful, actual, if you want to consider this thing. This statement makes no sense, either you meant to say there are many gods with one most high god or, there are many false idols but only one true god. Which one?
Quote:Then your mind is closed. Your skepticism is compromised.I’ll also never love unicorns or other products of myth not proven to exist in reality either.
Quote:We're considering Xtianity here... where death isn't the end. This comment is irrelevant to the subject.I’m not. Many other theists assert this life is our one and only chance to make amends with their own particular brand of your deity that argue is real. A heartless tactic, but an effective one nonetheless, that's how they scaremonger so many morons into subscribing and conforming to their ridiculous dogma without question for fear of hellfire and damnation and so on.
Quote:Which is how you achieve your full potential. How can you have a problem with that? You don't want life? How I can possibly choose it to start with in pre-life? No one chose their parents, not even you.
The point of the Bible quotes was to demonstrate how god is not love as you claim. He is wrathful, angry, jealous and hateful. Love cannot by the Bible’s own definition be any of those things (see 1 Corinthians 13:4). I’m sorry but the rest of your responses in that post wasn’t even worth my time responding to.
