^ Losty ...sadly, that's about it in a nutshell.

The church is the mafia and the believers are the thugs who make non members feel on the outer and uneasy unless they join.
Once they join, then they are in the "club" and can continue to do God's special fundraising work by making others feel uneasy and unwanted.
And so the vicious cycle continues...
