Wow, RR, I'm impressed; especially, with the part about collecting evidence!

You shouldn’t be really.  I think it’s this is based more on faulty starting assumptions.

That a woman could remember the face of her assailant after 40 years, as compared to 2nd or 3rd-hand accounts that were not written by eyewitnesses to the "event" who lived hundreds to a few thousand miles away from it??
