I think that’s a very important distinction.
Life has to REALLY be worth living.
People get sad when someone they like kills themself but helping someone when they’re alive is a burden most people ignore.
There’s a lot more why aren’t you pretending you’re ok than asking what’s wrong. And there’s a lot more asking what’s wrong than asking how can I help. And there’s a lot more pretending we’re willing to help than actually helping.
My guilt right now: 100 meters from where I’m at there’s a park constantly populated with homeless - alcoholics, junkies, mentally ill. My course of action: Double checking the dead bolt.
