And you'd be wrong.  I've read plenty of stories about Republicans associating with racists at rallies and fund raising events and didn't jump to the conclusion that it meant they support racism.

That wasn't my claim. If Trump tweeted a pic of himself holding a book about the KKK, you'd take that as him supporting the KKK.

Since I haven't encountered such a hypothetical tweet from Trump, the best I can do is look to how I've behaved in similar situations. If Trump stated something like what Ellison did, and I actually bothered to read it (something I'm not sure whether Roadie has actually done), I probably would want to know what he says following the tweet rather than simply jumping to conclusions that I find comforting. Again, YMMV. Imagining the situation, I'd probably shrug it off as a stupid miscalculation rather than saying something deeper about Trump. So, once again, you're wrong. But thanks once again for avoiding the point to focus on a triviality.
