I was in Catholic schools from 6th grade through HS graduation. In the middle school years the boys and girls were split up a couple times for sex ed. Of course we got together later to discuss the big secrets we had been kept from. The girls were mostly told about menstruation. The guys were told that if they became aroused in school they should discretely whap the head of their penis with the eraser end of a pencil. They were also advised to keep pencils with them at all times for just such an emergency. Lord knows we were a sexy bunch in our green and white tweed wool skirts to our knees and our boxy blazers.
In high school we HAD to take a class called 'Towards Marriage'. Which had nothing to do with sex beyond 'wait till marriage'. It was mostly about raising any resulting children as Catholics.
