Yes it has made it worse, but it's better then giving into oppressors and they would have done the same thing they did to Palestinians eventually.
Like the Syrian government, you mean? Because it definitely wasn't Israel that was "oppressing" the whole of Lebanon.
No side is innocent in this complex conflict in the Middle East. All sides are being shitty and hurting the people in that region.
