Is it only whitetail? No mule or antelope? Is chronic wasting disease present?
Mulies are very rare here - but no license is needed should you bag one. Elk qute a bit north of here..
Thankfully - no CWD.
And yes - it's a food thing. I don't even keep antlers - as i don't eat that part.
I butcher my own too. Field to freezer usually under an hour.
