As i already explained they can judge someone the same way you can judge a cannibal . As for the idea of how animals are treated that's a condemnation of how animals are raised not the general concept of rearing animals for food. I also will note that animals suffer horrifically in the wild . Overall it comes down to the question of your ethics on the acquiring  of meat .

Is it a matter of "needing" to hunt for food vs "wanting" to? Maybe you need to explain your ethics to me.

Yes  i grew up hunting and when i go north i still do . Note i'm not objecting to hunting just pointing out  it's a bad argument to compare domestic animal rearing to hunting .
