No, because the propensity for the butter side to hit the floor would be counterbalanced by the cat’s propensity to land on it’s feet.  If you put toast on the cat’s feet, the whole unit would simply land feet first.

Butter side up on the cats feet obviously, taking into account the weight of the cat 4 pieces of toast butter side up should be sufficient to counteract the weight difference.

But that puts both floor-attracting foci in the same place (the bottoms of the cat's feet).  I suspect the upshot of such an arrangement would be to rip the cat to pieces.
