11. Already mentioned but to elaborate; I own 600 books because my hero from when I was a small child was Belle not because she was a princess or pretty or lived in a castle. No it was because she had that library. From then on I wanted a library. I have never given away, destroyed, or sold a book in my life. I collect all books no matter what. Children's, other languages, books I will actually read lol Right now we only have a 1 bedroom so they are all in my living room but one day I will have a room just for my library!
12. When people ask where I am from I don't say US or America I say Texas. Not because I expect everyone to know American states but because I take great pride in being a Texan. Not so much in being American.
13. My husband is the 8th of his name. He legally has a VIII at the end of his name and it is on his driver's license and his birth certificate.
14. Because of #13 I cried when I found out I was having a daughter and not a son.
15. Also because of #13 I told my husband that I was fine naming my first son the 9th but I wouldn't call him Tony. Three living generations all going by that was enough! My son would have a different nickname. I wanted El (short for Manuel) or Nueve (9 in Spanish) Husband said no but I would have stood my ground.
16. I would have compromised with the nickname Tony if he would have let us name our other children Dallas and Austin. That way my kids could all be named after Texas cities (San Antonio being the Tony one) He said he once knew a douche bag named Dallas so no.
17. I used to scream, cry, and throw epic meltdowns because I didn't want to wear dresses and skirts. I got into a lot of trouble for it, spent the entire event sulky, and get in more trouble for that. Now as an adult I prefer wearing sun dresses over everything else. Pants are for squares.
18. Finding cute dresses with pockets is like winning the lottery for me.
19. I used to be the goth kid. My god mother said I would grow out of it. She was half right. My wardrobe is still almost all black but now I have black cowboy boots, a black purse, black belt with a huge silver belt buckle. Pretty much now a gothic cowboy.
20. My grandmother once commented that she loved the house full of children because she loved hearing them laugh. I thought she was being creepy. My daughter just started really laughing, I mean full on giggling and I could almost cry with how beautiful it sounds to me.
