Suppose a fetus is threatening the mother's life and the fetus cannot survive outside the womb. The mother will die if she attempts to bring the fetus to full term, whose life is more valuable?
What if the mother wishes to have an abortion to save her own life?
What if the mother has other children to care for?
What if the fetus could grow up to be a serial killer, but the mother has demonstrated that she's an upstanding, law-abiding citizen?
it seems to me that taking a pro-life stance is all fine and dandy until it's not.
I'd like to see pro-lifers stop talking what what they wish were the case and start funding long-term care programs to support mothers for the child's upbringing and university education.
