Round 3 from me:
- I get motion sickness and an instant headache when looking at first-person-shooter video games, and can only play real-time strategy or turn-based games. The only major video game I've played all the way through is the original Starcraft.
- I've paid off two houses over the years, but lost custody of the first one in a divorce. (I did, however put most of the buy-out $$$ towards the mortgage on the new house.)
- My favourite astronomical object is the M42 nebula in Orion.
- Starting in 2011 I went on an uncluttering rant and gave away two-thirds of my furniture, probably 80% of my library, most of my CDs, and virtually every knickknack and tchotchke that wasn't nailed down. (For a few years, when I still had way too much stuff to get rid of, my front yard was insanely popular on the spring and fall Winnipeg Giveaway Weekends.)
- When travelling I like to visit museums and historical sites.
- I like modern art, particularly M.C. Escher, Piet Mondrian, and Lawren Harris.
- I've actually played Lady Simpson's Piano at Lower Fort Garry.
- I have sleep onset insomnia that first showed up when I was five years old. Have experienced "asleep as soon as head hits pillow" exactly once since then, after getting home from a school trip to New York City in the 1970s.
- Can't stand aluminum cooking pots. Only cast iron or clad steel need apply for a gig in my kitchen.
- I've watched the Beatles movie Help! at least a dozen times.
