The first chapter has the following arguments for God but all silent and subtle, but we will see Quran brings them in a more explicit way through out:
1. Argument from Logic link to God (read - by the name of Your Lord who created- ).
2. Argument from sense of language and eloquence beauty to God (same as above).
3. Argument from morality (guidance and hints the name of God to be by which guidance takes place).
4. Argument from vision ("Does he not know God sees?").
5. Argument from justice and awareness of it ("to God is the return"...and the verses linked to that in the chapter).
It also has the following arguments for Prophethood:
1. Need of obeying God and not sinners.
2. Need of guidance from God with respect to humans needing guidance from reading and being taught what they knew not, they are not without need of God guiding them as well.
3. God will rally the brave and courageous, this shows, God will establish a rally point.
4. To read with the name of God proves God can establish proofs through revelations and guidance by his name since language and his name are linked.
It has the following proof for leaders from God if Prophethood were to cease:
1. Need of obeying God and not sinners.
2. Need of emphasizing the true recitation of Gods' Name and not what sinners will interpret with regards to the book.
3. God will rally the brave and courageous, this shows, God will establish a rally point.
4. Everything can be contained with a revelation from God, but to see all that in it, will take help of those who are perfect instances of his name.
5. Need of guidance from God is perpetual per this Surah.
We will see these points are explicit other places, but were very condensed and subtle in this Surah.
