It's silly to say so when you've been provided facts to the contrary, don't you think? You could only insist that despite of the fact that evolution both is and has been observed, and can be and has been demonstrated, you refuse to accept it nevertheless. Just as you refused to accept, for example.. a universe of cold and cruel suffering....despite insisting that this planet was made specifically to inflict cold cruel suffering upon us, in order to refine our souls.
I've long wondered why this is the case for a certain subset of the religious. Why the reality of their god is bound up in a denial of some factual state of affairs. Perhaps you could explain that for me? Or, perhaps, you could explain for me why the religious often refuse to accept the very things that they themselves assert to be the case?
