That I shouldn't call them out on their bullshit treatment of me, by forcing me to almost choose between my job and school. Or by expecting alot from me when I don't get enough to deal with it. Or the fact I should lie just not to 'get in trouble' with them. Among other things, I seems like in her conservative mindset you are always in the wrong and the company you work for is always right. Expect when it comes to cameras then invading privacy is bad and a no-no.
I'm not entirely sure why or where this mind set comes from. The idea that you are a bad person if you know your being mistreated and do something about it.
For example, since starting work my grades in college have dropped alot as has my work ethic as I'm stressed about grades and getting my degree, top it all off with my grandfather dying an all, I haven't been in the best of mindsets. I feel work has just made it harder, as before I never had a problem until I had to work long second shift hours for four days in a row with me coming home late and being exhausted and having little freetime.
I thought it was because of these work hours I was falling behind.
My mom on the other hand seems to think work is not the problem at all, despite the evidence showing that it most likely is. And she keeps defending my works choices against me and other employees.
Is this a conservative and Republican only thing? Why do they defend a company or work place even though they might be treated like shit?
It's an American thing. The Republicans are probably worse, but the Democrats have done their share of harm.
Wages have gone down, college costs have gone way up. The family that owns Walmart have become among the richest in the world by realizing that they don't have to pay you what you're worth. If you're starving, they advise you to get food stamps. They're sure not going to pay you more.
I think the stress you're under is absolutely not your fault. It sounds to me as if you're doing your best. But American society is set up to make it difficult for people like you. I'm sorry about that.
