The pro choice movement is about REDUCING IT!
Outlawing abortion WILL NOT produce more wanted babies.
Again, if you are STUPIDLY assuming every female, or provider goes into the decision thinking, "YEA I GET TO END LIFE" like it is a keg party, you are an idiot!
Anyone with any sanity or empathy WANTS every baby born healthy and wanted.
I am saying that the BEST WAY to reduce abortion isn't to outlaw it, but to create long term economic/education conditions that provide females with MORE autonomy over their lives and more power over their lives through economics and education.
Economics and/or education for females does not cause or prevent pregnancy...wanted or otherwise.
Fertile humans taking responsibility for what they do or don't do with regard to sexual interaction is what's needed. You can educate people all you want but if they don't use that knowledge it doesn't matter. Economics? Really, oh poetic one, you are towing the line of pointing to the poor like they are the only ones who find themselves in the position of having an unwanted pregnancy.
The only thing that makes some sense is your comment that everyone wants babies to be born healthy and wanted...poor people want that too.
Only you could make me think Yonadav is the rational one in a 'discussion'.
Way to be too literal.
If one wants to claim that there is no way to prevent someone of ANY CLASS to stick a penis in a vagina, yea, NO SHIT.
But if one can educate young girls and boys about how their bodies work, and combine that with planning and education, they are LESS LIKELY to put themselves in the position of getting in over their heads.
AND OF COURSE poor people want babies and have a right to have them too.
Which is why there should be no abject poverty in the world's richest nation. There should only be a lower middle class, a middle class and wealth within reason.
