if he did not align himself with what was written then he would not be the god ofthe bible.. the bible tells us there are other being who take the roles of angels and deity when they are not. So without some standard how would you know this being who came down is indeed God? is magic tricks all you need? a little gold perhaps to line your bathroom? How would you know God if he came down and spoke to you? how could you discern God from satan?
Yeah...no shit....., lol...but that god personally discrediting the fairy tales stuffed into it's mouth by the authors of old and new magic book isn't even going to be a speedbump for the believers of old and new magic book.
Truth is, yall are book worshippers, not god worshippers. You have an idol, a totem. You prefer this to any god. No god would actually have to come down to discredit the fairy tales you prefer..they've already been discredited..and yet here you are. My comments, couched as a hypothetical, represent a current reality that you confirm with your every post. I fully expect you to continue doing what you've been doing for as long as I've known you on these boards.
again, there is no one God without the book. without the book the god of 9-11-01 islamic terrorist becomes, legit the god of smith becomes legit, david koresh becomes legit. where your assessment fails about us being solely book worshipers is with in the book are directions to God. find God according to those directions and the book is no longer needed if the god that comes to you acts in accordance with what the book says.
Again here's the thing here is what separates biblical Christianity from everything else. God promises to show up if you seek him out on his terms... then he does show up. no priests no prophet no special enchantments or relics needed to summon god. just look how he says look and your eyes will open just a little bit wider.
