Evidence. There are some 30,000 christian denominations alone. If sheer numbers of believers was your criteria, then you should be catholic, but you are not. You are doing no more than appealing to the existence of unicorns on the basis that it cannot be proven that they don't exist. Any more than fiery garage dragons. Do you believe in those too? How about the tooth fairy? You can't prove there is no such thing. Does that make you believe it? How about the god you happen to believe in? Can anyone prove it doesn't exist? Of course not. But you can't prove it does exist. And then there is the fact that the god you happen to believe in is so horrible that one would have to subvert one's very humanity to accept the awful shit it wants.
