I voted for Obama for the same reason I voted for Hillary. And in 2020 if Trump suddenly announced he was a log cabin Republican, and was only married because he feared being out, he'd still be a fucking dick.
I think you fail to understand that our history started out in a very bigoted age, where only whites had any rights, and not even white women had the right to vote. I think America is far better of now as far as individual rights and I see no reason whatsoever gays should not be considered for public office.
