One mistake by itself, no, with the possible exception of killing someone I hold dear, or something that can potentially ruin my life. If it’s the culmination of several mistakes, maybe. But one is probably not enough.
If I can still respect Alfonso Cuaron after making the “I Am Autism,” a short documentary that I think could rightly be compared to The Eternal Jew (link here because the forum code doesn’t like italicising within a URL for whatever reason) in its depiction of autism, I’m not sure if a single mistake would be enough to totally destroy a relationship for me that wasn’t already fraying.
