What makes you think, your specific religion and or sect, will survive forever? And I don't want puppets with hands up their backs responding. I want your personal opinion, not what your god or holy person or holy writing says.
There was an oral tradition of religion long before written language. There are also lots of dead religions nobody believes in now.
Just who do you think you are demanding and limiting a conversation and the beliefs of people, you would rant to no end if I asked you to explain why evolution is correct and not use any science to back up your belief. I got all my belief from the scriptures before becoming a Christian and upon that belief I came to Christ as my Savior, thus I'm titled a Christians. After that day God through his word started working with me to build my faith into truth and belief until it became knowledge. I know know that God is who He says He is with complete certainty, no doubts. God says He is eternal and that I will live with Him eternally so I know that this will last forever. God has said all other gods are false, not real just idols to serve man's desires, so the ones that are still going today will fall as all those in the past have.

What makes anyone think today's currently held worldwide religions wont morph into something unrecognizable or simply completely die out in 20,000 years?
First of all no one has proven that global warming will destroy mankind, reduce our numbers is almost a certainty, the earth can not support this population much longer and the needs of people will be met before we quite using fossil fuels and all the other things contributing to the warming. Population grow was always kept in check by wars and our lack of scientific knowledge. We have so far managed to keep world wars at bay and accumulated scientific knowledge enough to support an unhealthy amount of people on this planet. Man is not smart enough or willing enough to control his desires and know we are going to pay a price for that and a correction is on the way if Jesus doesn't return before that happens. God says in His word that man would completely destroy the human race but that He would intervene before that could happen, so I'm guessing that the plagues of Revelations will be mostly man made events before God ordains an end to this world. So you see we will not destroy ourselves directly because God will not allow it.
By the way because I know my God I can tell you that if this earth was to last another 20,000 years Christianity will not change, God has always corrected man's way in this matter so that that would not happen, check out the history of Christianity if you do not believe me, yes the proof is within world history that Christianity will be as God intends until Christ returns.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
